English translation
A witness may not be disqualified, even if he is a relative or a relative by marriage of one of the litigants, unless he is incapable of discernment by reason of old age, youth, illness, or any other reason. The statements of an ascendant concerning his descendant or of a descendant concerning his ascendant may be heard, as may the statements of either spouse concerning the other. The statements of a person who has not attained fourteen years of age shall also be heard without an oath and for guidance only. (2)

لا يجوز رد الشاهد ولو كان قريبا او صهرا لاحد الخصوم الا ان يكون غير قادر على التمييز
بسبب هرم، او حداثة سن، او مرض، او لاي سبب آخر. ويجوز ان تسمع اقوال الاصل
بالنســبة لفرعــه او الفــرع بالنســبة لاصلــه ، كما تســمع اقــوال احــد الــزوجين بشــأن الاخر
، كما تســمع اقــوال مــن لم يبلــغ ســنه أربــع عشرة ســنة بغير يمين وعلى ســبيل الاســتئناس.Court of Cassation principles citing this article
