English translation
If a witness refuses to attend in response to an invitation from a litigant or the court, the litigant or the Registry, as the case may be, shall summon the witness to attend to give testimony at least twenty-four hours before the date fixed for hearing the witness, excluding time allowances for distance. In urgent cases, this time limit may be reduced, and the witness may be summoned to attend by a telegram from the Registry by order of the court. If the witness has been duly summoned to attend and fails to attend, the court may, in cases of extreme urgency, issue an order to have the witness brought before it. In other cases, an order shall be made to summon the witness to attend again if there are grounds for doing so; if the witness fails to attend, the court may issue an order to have the witness brought before it.
