Article 236 of Code of Criminal Procedure and Trials

The convicted person shall be discharged from the fine to an extent proportionate to the period of imprisonment he served under bodily coercion or in work for the Government. He may be required to pay the outstanding balance of the fine imposed, and it may be collected by execution against his property at any time. (1) Article 237 If confiscation of a seized thing is ordered, it shall become State property. The court, the Chief of Police and Public Security, or the Public Prosecutor may order the destruction of confiscated things, their sale by auction or negotiation, or their delivery to a government entity for use within the limits of the laws.
