English translation
The accused's statements must be heard before any decision ordering or renewing detention is issued. If a detention order is issued against an absconding accused person, his statements must be heard before twenty-four hours have elapsed from the date of his arrest.

يجب ان تسمع اقوال المتهم قبل اصدار أي قرار بالحبس او بتجديده، اما إذا صـدر
امر حبس ضد متهم هارب فإنه يجب ان تسمع اقواله قبل مضي أربع وعشرين
