Article 11 of Juveniles Law

The judgment shall order placement of the juvenile in a social care institution affiliated with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor. If the juvenile has a disability or special needs, placement shall be in an institute suitable for his rehabilitation or a specialized treatment hospital. The court shall specify in its judgment the period of placement, which shall not exceed ten years for felonies, five years for misdemeanors, and three years in cases of exposure to delinquency. The institution in which the juvenile is placed must submit to the court a report on his condition and conduct at intervals not exceeding six months, so that the court may decide what it deems appropriate concerning him in light of the probation officer's report.
