Birth alone suffices to establish kinship in the preceding categories, even if it results from unlawful intercourse. Thus, a daughter born of unlawful intercourse is prohibited to her father, and a son born of unlawful intercourse is prohibited to his mother; the same applies if intercourse occurred under a mistaken belief of lawfulness.
