Article 10 of Personal Status Law

The following are required for offer and acceptance: a- They must be immediately effective and not indicate a time limitation. b- Acceptance must correspond to the offer, expressly or implicitly. c- The contracting session must be the same for contracting parties who are present. Between absent parties, the session begins when the addressee of the offer becomes acquainted with the contents of the letter or hears the messenger's communication. In this case the session shall be deemed to continue for three days, during which acceptance is valid, unless the offer specifies another sufficient period or the addressee does something indicating rejection. d- The offer must remain valid until acceptance is given. e- Each of the contracting parties present must hear the other's words and understand that marriage is intended by them.
