Article 16 of Law on the General Department of Investigations

Disciplining members of the General Department of Investigations shall fall within the competence of a disciplinary board in a form by a decision of the Minister of Interior, chaired by one of the Deputy Directors-General and with a Prosecutor General and the most senior Chief Investigator (A) as members. This excludes the Director-General of the General Department of Investigations and his deputies, whose discipline shall be in accordance with the provisions and procedures stipulated in the aforementioned Decree-Law No. 15 of 1979 AD. The board shall convene at the headquarters of the General Department of Investigations. The internal regulations shall lay down the rules and procedures for instituting and conducting disciplinary actions, the work of the board, the issuance of its decisions, and grievances against them.
