Article 17 of Tenancy Law

The owner of the expropriated property shall be deemed a tenant if he personally occupies or uses it. In this case, the rental value of the property shall be determined by the rent for comparable property, and the owner shall not be required to pay rent unless he has received the valuation amount in full. If, however, the property is leased to a third party, the relationship between the owner and the tenant shall remain in effect until the owner has received at least half of the valuation amount. In all cases, the owner's connection with the property shall cease as of the date on which he is formally served with notice to vacate.
