Article 33 of Social Insurance Law

The resources of the fund referred to in the preceding Article shall consist of the following funds: 1 - Monthly contributions paid by employers at the rate of 2% of the salaries of insured persons working for them. This rate may be increased to no more than double if it is established that the employer has not taken precautions sufficient to protect his workers from work injuries, or that the work, by its nature or the circumstances in which it is performed, is liable to increase the rate of injuries regardless of the precautions taken by the employer. The aforementioned rate may also be reduced if the employer undertakes payment of the financial assistance in accordance with the provisions of this Part, or if the work, by its nature or the circumstances in which it is performed, is not liable to cause injuries, all in accordance with the rules, conditions and procedures prescribed by a decision of the Minister upon the proposal of the Board of Directors. 2 - Proceeds from investment of the fund's money. -3 Other resources resulting from the Institution's activity in relation to this fund. 4 - Subsidies, donations and bequests which the Board of Directors decides to accept.
