English translation
If the pledged thing is an instrument whose value has not been paid in full, the pledgor, when called upon to pay the unpaid portion, shall provide the pledgee creditor with the money necessary to pay that portion at least one day before its due date. Otherwise, the pledgee creditor may sell the instrument by following the procedures stipulated in Articles 231 to 233.

إذا كان الشيء المرهون صكا لم تدفع قيمته بكاملها ، وجب على الراهن متى طولب
بالجزء غير المدفوع أن يقدم إلى الدائن المرتهن النقود اللازمة للوفاء بهذا الجزء قبل
میعاد استحقاقه بيوم على الأقل، وإلا جاز للدائن المرتهن أن يبيع الصك باتباع
