Article 174 of Kuwaiti Penal Code

Anyone who administers—or causes to be administered—to a woman, whether pregnant or not, with or without her consent, drugs or other harmful substances, or uses force or any other means, intending thereby to cause her miscarriage, shall be punished by imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years, to which a fine not exceeding one thousand dinars may be added. If the perpetrator is a physician, pharmacist, midwife or a person working in professions auxiliary to medicine or pharmacy, the penalty shall be imprisonment for a term not exceeding fifteen years, to which a fine not exceeding two thousand dinars may be added, subject to the provisions of Article 12 of Decree-Law No. 25 of 1981 concerning the practice of human medicine, dentistry and their auxiliary professions.
