Article 44 of National Assembly Elections Law

The chairman of the main committee shall supervise and follow up the electoral process in the constituency and issue instructions and directions ensuring its proper conduct. He shall receive the originals of the consolidated counting minutes of all the constituency's committees and the ballot boxes of the original committees and, in the presence of all the chairmen and members of the original committees and five representatives of the candidates—selected by agreement among themselves or by lot in the event of disagreement—shall, by public announcement, aggregate the results of the counting of all ballot boxes in the constituency. A member of the National Assembly shall be elected by a relative majority of the total valid votes cast. If two or more obtain equal valid votes, the committee shall draw lots among them, and the person designated by lot shall win membership. The chairman of the main committee shall draw up the consolidated counting minutes recording the result of Law Index 94 Home Page National Assembly Elections Law Law No. 120 of 2023 concerning Elections of Members of the National Assembly the election for the constituency in an original and a copy. After being read publicly, they shall be signed by the chairman of this committee, the chairmen of the original committees and the members of the counting committee. The copy of these minutes shall be displayed to all those present for inspection. The counting minutes of the original committees and subcommittees shall be attached to the original minutes, and the chairman of the main committee shall deliver them to the General Secretariat of the General Electoral Commission. The copy shall be placed in the original committee's box, which shall be sealed with red wax, and the chairman of the main committee shall deliver it to the General Secretariat of the National Assembly for safekeeping.
