The expert must draw up a record of the work he has performed, containing a statement of the litigants' attendance, their statements and observations, signed by them unless they have an impediment thereto, which shall be mentioned in the record. The expert shall also draw up a report, signed by him, setting out the results of his work, his opinion and the grounds on which he relied, concisely and accurately. If there are several experts, they shall prepare a single report on the results of their work with the agreed opinion. In the absence of agreement on an opinion, the report shall be prepared with the opinion obtaining the majority, with reference to the remaining opinions. The court may appoint an expert to give his opinion orally at the hearing without submitting a report, and his opinion shall be recorded in the minutes. In all cases, the expert's opinion shall not bind the court, but the court shall seek guidance from it.
