Article 18 of Law Regulating Expert Services

The expert and every party to the proceedings may lodge a grievance against the order assessing experts' fees and expenses in accordance with the procedures for grievances against litigation costs stipulated in the second paragraph of Article (123) of the Civil and Commercial Procedures Law. A person who did not request the appointment of the expert and was not ordered to pay costs shall not be joined as a respondent to the grievance, if a final judgment has been rendered concerning liability for litigation costs. If a judgment is issued reducing the amount assessed for the expert, a party may invoke that judgment against the opposing party who paid it to the expert on the basis of the assessment order, without prejudice to that opposing party's right of recourse against the expert.
