Dumping, treating or burning solid municipal waste is prohibited except in facilities designated for that purpose. Distance from human settlements and environmentally sensitive areas shall be taken into consideration in this regard. The Executive Regulations of this Law shall specify the specifications and controls governing these facilities and their locations.
