Article 34 of Environmental Protection Law

The Authority shall, in coordination with the competent entities, be concerned with preparing the national programme for integrated waste management, including the preparation, development and updating of a national strategy for the integrated management of solid municipal waste, medical and liquid waste and hazardous waste, accompanied by action plans, the responsibilities of State institutions, control and monitoring programmes and timetables for their implementation. The Authority shall submit the programme to the Supreme Council for approval within a maximum of three years from the issuance of this Law.
