Article 56 of Law on the Practice of Medicine and Allied Health Professions

All private health facilities for which licensing is sought, and upon renewal of their licences, shall be located in a building or place prepared, equipped and fitted out in terms of construction, design and operation in a manner commensurate with the nature, type and volume of the health services provided by the facility, with due regard to providing systems for pollution prevention, infection and fire control, and the safe disposal of medical waste, and providing all requirements necessary for purification, sterilization, cleanliness, safety and a safe health environment in the facility to protect its personnel and others from diseases and harm. They shall also provide what ensures the facilitation of rescue procedures and the necessary first aid when needed in the facility. A decision shall be issued in this regard by the Minister specifying all such conditions, specifications and requirements that must be available in health facilities.
