Article 2 of Anti-Money Laundering Law

Anyone who knows that funds are derived from an offence and intentionally undertakes the following shall be deemed to have committed the offence of money laundering: Home Page 438 Law Index Anti-Money Laundering Law Law No. 106 of 2013 concerning Combating Money Laundering a- Converting, transferring or exchanging them for the purpose of concealing or disguising the unlawful source of those funds, or assisting any person involved in committing the predicate offence from which the funds were derived to evade the legal consequences of his act. b- Concealing or disguising the true nature of the funds, their source, location, manner of disposal, movement, ownership or rights relating to them. c- Acquiring, possessing or using the funds. A legal person shall be liable for any offence stipulated in the provisions of this Article if committed in its name or for its account. Punishment of the perpetrator of the predicate offence shall not preclude his punishment for any other money laundering offence. When establishing that funds are proceeds of an offence, it is not necessary that a person have been convicted of committing the predicate offence.
