Article 22 of Anti-Money Laundering Law

Without prejudice to the rights of bona fide third parties, the Public Prosecutor, or an Advocate General authorised by him, may order the freezing or seizure of the funds and instrumentalities stipulated in the first paragraph of Article (40), if he has sufficient indications that they are connected with a money laundering or terrorist financing offence or a predicate offence. The Public Prosecution may manage the funds and conduct their affairs as it deems appropriate. Any interested party may lodge a grievance before the competent court within one month from the date of issuance of this order. The court must decide the grievance expeditiously, either by dismissing the grievance, revoking the order, or amending it and prescribing the necessary safeguards where warranted. No further grievance may be lodged until three months have elapsed from the date of determination of the first grievance. The Public Prosecutor, or an Advocate General authorised by him, may rescind or amend the order in accordance with the considerations he deems appropriate.
