Article 5 of Decree-Law No. 10 of 2020 concerning Notarisation

The government notary shall be competent to notarize instruments whose notarization is required by law or requested by the persons concerned, including: 1- Powers of attorney and official declarations of all types. 2- Official contracts which the law requires to be embodied in an official instrument. 3- Instruments of incorporation of companies and their amendment, and the termination and dissolution of companies or withdrawal from them. 4- Determination of the heirs of non-Muslims belonging to the revealed religions. 5- Obtaining true copies and issuing certificates concerning instruments certified with Law the Department. 6- Gift contracts and declarations of their revocation. 7- Assignment of and withdrawal from inheritance entitlements. 8- Notarization of instruments relating to the personal status of non-Muslims belonging to the revealed religions, unless they wish to have them notarized by their own notarization bodies. 9- Affixing the executory formula to enforceable instruments. 01- Other instruments relating to notarization work. A judge or a government notary designated for that purpose shall be competent to notarize instruments relating to endowments and the personal status of Muslims, in the manner set out in the Executive Regulations. The Minister may authorize marriage registrars to authenticate marriage contracts in accordance with the rules and procedures specified by the Executive Regulations. )1(
