English translation
A private notary must: a. Be of Kuwaiti nationality. b. Hold an accredited university degree in law or its equivalent issued by Kuwait University or a recognized university. c. Be of commendable conduct and good reputation. d. Have practical experience of not less than ten years. e. Submit an insurance contract valid throughout the license period against liability for professional errors. The Executive Regulations shall determine the provisions of the insurance contract and the limits of its liability coverage.

يشترط في الموثق الأهلي:
أ- أن يكون كويتي الجنسية .
ب - أن يكون حاصلا على شهادة جامعية معتمدة ، في الحقوق أو ما يعادلها صادرة
من جامعة الكويت أو إحدى الجامعات المعترف بها.
ج - أن يكون محمود السيرة حسن السمعة .
د - أن تتوافر لديه خبرة عملية مدة لا تقل عن عشر سنوات.
ه - أن يقدم عقد تأمين ساري المفعول طوال مدة الترخيص ضد المسؤولية عن
الأخطاء المهنية وتحدد اللائحة التنفيذية أحكام عقد التأمين وحدود تغطيته
