Establishment of parentage through valid marriage. Its condition. Pregnancy for a period of not less than six lunar months and not - 456 - Personal Status more than three hundred and sixty-five days, with the possibility of the spouses meeting during that period. Articles 166, 169 of Law 51 of 1984. - Establishment of parentage by the marital bed in an existing valid marriage. The man may deny it. Condition thereof: initiating proceedings for li‘an within seven days of birth or his knowledge thereof. Article 177 of Law 51 of 1984. - Ascertaining the possibility of the spouses meeting or its absence, and assessing valid or implicit acknowledgment of parentage. Within the authority of the court of merits. Condition thereof. It is not obliged to follow the parties through their various statements and lines of defence and answer every statement or argument they raise. An implicit response suffices.
