Judicial principle — Kuwait Court of Cassation

Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 741

State of Kuwait · Personal Status · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

A parentage action that is admissible only as part of another right is one involving a dispute over establishing or denying parentage. If parentage is not disputed and the action is confined to correcting the name recorded in travel documents, the judgment declaring the action inadmissible entails an error in applying the law.
