An appeal in cassation. Confined to judgments issued by the Court of Appeal in felony matters, excluding judgments issued by another judicial body, even if issued in felony matters. Basis thereof. - An appeal in cassation must be directed against a judgment issued by the ordinary criminal judiciary. This condition relates to the function of the Court of Cassation. Reason therefor. - 366 - Criminal Procedure and Trials - The subjection of judgments issued by a particular court to review by the Court of Cassation. This is evidence that this court belongs to that judiciary. - An appeal in cassation against any judgment issued by a judicial body outside the organizational structure of the ordinary courts. Impermissible. - The Judges' Disciplinary Council. A judicial body outside the organizational structure of the ordinary courts. An appeal in cassation against a judgment issued by it. Impermissible. - Judgments of the Judges' Disciplinary Council. Prohibition of challenging them by any means. Basis and reason therefor.
