The obligation to refer to the Evidence Law to supplement matters not addressed by the Criminal Procedures and Trials Law. An example concerning a witness taking the oath before the investigator or the court. - Testimony. Its conditions: the witness taking the oath in the form prescribed by law or according to the practices specific to his religion—if he so requests—and answering the questions put to him truthfully and honestly. - Recording the wording of the oath. Not necessary. It is sufficient to record that it was taken before the investigator or criminal judge before testimony was given. An example. - The challenge based on the investigator's failure to record the wording of the oath. Merely an allegation of a defect in pretrial procedures that does not constitute a valid ground of appeal.
