English translation of the principle

Service on a private legal person. A copy thereof is delivered at its management headquarters; otherwise it is void. Article 1, Civil Procedure Code. - The judgment's determination of the respondent company's domicile and management headquarters from a photocopy of an industrial establishment licence, which is no more than a statement of the location of a factory licensed to the company and does not in itself indicate its principal headquarters, and its consequent acceptance of the plea that the judgment under appeal was void because service of the statement of claim at premises belonging to the company was void, although that service produced its effect through the respondent's appearance and request for time to submit memoranda without challenging it on any ground. This vitiates it and requires its cassation.
