Article 1 of Code of Civil Procedure

The laws of procedure shall apply to actions not yet adjudicated and procedures not yet completed before their effective date, subject to the following exceptions: a- Provisions amending jurisdiction where their effective date falls after the close of pleadings in the action. b- Provisions amending time limits where the time limit began before their effective date. c- Provisions regulating methods of appeal in respect of judgments rendered before their effective date, where those provisions abolish or create one of those methods. Every procedural act validly completed under a law in force shall remain valid unless otherwise provided. Newly introduced forfeiture periods or other procedural time limits shall run only from the effective date of the provision introducing them. Interest in the Action
