State of Kuwait · Pleadings — Part One · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

Judgments issued by the court of first instance as final judgments may not be appealed unless the law provides otherwise, or they were issued contrary to an earlier judgment that had not acquired the force of res judicata, were affected by nullity, or were based on invalid procedures. - A judgment of the Court of First Instance is final if the value of the action does not exceed 5,000 dinars. This applies to all disputes within that court's jurisdiction. Judgments issued by the Labor Circuit are not excepted from that rule. - 568 - Civil Procedure
