English translation of the principle

The Court of Appeal. Its limiting itself to amending the judgment appealed against. It is obliged to give reasons only for what the amendment covers. The remainder is deemed affirmed by adopting the reasons of the judgment appealed against. This is not altered by the absence in its judgment of an express reference to those reasons regarding what the amendment does not cover.
