The cheque drawer's obligation. Is extinguished by the drawee's receipt of the value of the cheque. An instrument drawn by a bank on itself for payment of a specified amount at the customer's request for presentation to a third person. An ordinary acknowledgment of indebtedness and not a cheque. The basis for that.
