Article 247 of Civil Code

1 - The judge shall determine compensation in the amount he considers sufficient to make good the damage in accordance with Articles 230 and 231, having regard to the injured person's personal circumstances. 2 - If the judge cannot, at the time of judgment, determine the amount of compensation definitively, he may reserve to the injured person the right to request, within a period he specifies, reconsideration of the assessment.
