English translation
If the retained thing perishes or is damaged, the right of retention shall pass to any substitute payment or compensation due as a result. The provisions governing possessory pledges shall apply to the transfer of the right.

إذا هلك الشيء المحبوس أو تلف، انتقل الحق في الحبس إلى ما يستحق بسبب ذلك
