Article 354 of Civil Code

1 - If an action is barred from being heard by lapse of time in respect of one of the joint and several debtors, the other debtors shall benefit therefrom only to the extent of that debtor's share. 2 - If the period prescribed for barring the hearing of an action is interrupted or its running is suspended in respect of one of the joint and several debtors, the creditor may not invoke this against the other debtors.
