Article 449 of Civil Code

1 - The period prescribed for barring the hearing of an action shall be interrupted if the debtor expressly or implicitly acknowledges the creditor's right. 2 - The debtor's leaving property belonging to him in the creditor's possession shall constitute an implicit acknowledgment if the property is subject to a possessory pledge securing payment of the debt, or if the creditor has retained it pursuant to his right to refuse to return it until the associated debt is paid, in accordance with Article 318.
