Article 802 of Civil Code

1 - The rights and obligations arising from an insurance contract shall pass to the person to whom ownership of the insured thing is transferred upon its disposition. In the event of the insured's death, these rights and obligations shall pass to his heirs, subject to the provisions governing inheritance. 2 - Nevertheless, both the insurer and the person to whom ownership is transferred or devolves by inheritance may unilaterally terminate the contract. The insurer may exercise its right of termination within thirty days from the date on which it is notified of the disposition transferring ownership or of the insured's death.
