Article 843 of Civil Code

1 - All the co-owners may agree to partition the enjoyment of the common property by an arrangement under which each enjoys a separate part for a specified period that may not exceed five years. The partition ends upon expiry of the agreed period without any need for notice. 2 - If no period is agreed upon, the partition shall be deemed to be for one year, extending from year to year, and shall end if one co-owner notifies the other co-owners of his wish to that effect sixty days before the expiry of the current year. 3 - If the partition ends and each co-owner continues to enjoy the part allocated to him without objection by any of them, it shall be renewed for one year, extending in the foregoing manner.
