Article 89 of Law No. 12 of 1963 concerning the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly

The Assembly may impose on a member who disrupts order or fails to comply with the Assembly's decision prohibiting him from speaking one of the following penalties:— a- Warning. b- Censure. c- Prohibiting the member from speaking for the remainder of the sitting. d- Expulsion from the meeting hall, with deprivation of participation in the remaining business of the sitting. The Assembly's decision in this regard shall be issued at the same sitting. The Assembly may suspend the decision issued against the member if he submits, at the following sitting, a written apology for his conduct.
