Article 28 of Law of Evidence

English translation

If the person against whom a document is adduced denies his handwriting, signature, seal or fingerprint, or the heir or successor swears that he does not know that it emanated from the person from whom he derived the right, and the other litigant continues to rely on the document, and the document is material to the dispute and the facts and documents of the case are insufficient for the court to form its conviction concerning the authenticity of the handwriting, signature, seal or fingerprint, the court shall order an inquiry by comparison, by hearing witnesses, or by both. Comparison shall be conducted in accordance with the rules prescribed for the work of experts, and witnesses shall be heard in accordance with the rules prescribed for witness testimony. Their testimony shall be heard only insofar as it relates to establishing that the writing, signature, seal or fingerprint on the document requiring examination was made by the person to whom it is attributed.
