English translation
The court may assess the extent to which scraping, erasure, interlineation and other material defects in an instrument nullify or diminish its evidential value. If the authenticity of the instrument is doubtful in the court's view, it may, of its own motion, summon the official who issued it or the person who drew it up to make statements clarifying the truth of the matter concerning it.

للمحكمة ان تقدر ما يترتب على الكشط والمحو والتحشير وغير ذلك من العيوب
المادية في الورقة من اسقاط قيمتها في الاثبات او إنقاصها.
وإذا كانت صحة الورقة محل شك في نظر المحكمة
جاز لها من تلقاء نفسها ان تدعو الموظف الذي صدرت عنه او الشخص الذي حررها
