English translation
Except in the case of summary trial by penal order, criminal courts shall themselves conduct the necessary investigative procedures in the cases before them in accordance with the rules prescribed hereinafter and the provisions governing preliminary investigation, which shall be considered supplementary thereto in the absence of a contrary provision. The court may assign one of its members or an investigator to conduct a particular investigative procedure. His procedures shall be subject to the rules applicable to trial proceedings.

في غير حالة المحاكمة الموجزة بالأمر الجزائي، يجب على المحاكم الجزائية أن تباشر
بنفسها ما يلزم من إجراءات التحقيق في الدعاوى التي تنظرها طبقا للقواعد المقررة
فيما بعد، وللأحكام المنصوص عليها في التحقيق الابتدائي التي تعتبر مكملة لها إذا
لم يوجد نص مخالف.
وللمحكمة أن تكلف أحد أعضائها أو أحد المحققين بمباشرة إجراء معين من
