English translation
The effect of the accused's confessions shall be limited to him alone and not extend to anyone else. None of the accused's statements shall be considered a confession except those that are explicit and conclusive as to his commission of the offence attributed to him, made knowingly, freely and with understanding, without requiring the severance or interpretation of his statements or the deletion of any part thereof. Otherwise, the accused's statements, whether in court or in the investigation preceding trial, shall, like other statements of parties or witnesses, be subject to the court's assessment. The court may draw from them circumstantial evidence for proof or disproof, whether in relation to the accused or other accused persons, even if this requires interpreting or severing them. The accused's statements in any investigation or trial may serve as evidence, for or against him, in any other investigation or any other trial.

Ask about this article
