English translation
A missing person from whom his family has received no news falls into two categories: One whose wife knows that he is alive but does not know in which country he is. One whose wife knows neither whether he is alive nor whether he is dead, and this involves two cases: First: The husband has property from which maintenance is provided for his wife, or his guardian provides maintenance for her from his own property. Second: The husband has no property from which maintenance is provided for his wife, and his guardian does not provide maintenance for her from his own property.

المفقود المنقطع خبره عن أهله على قسمين :
من تعلم زوجته بحياته ولكنها لا تعلم في أي بلد هو .
من لا تعلم زوجته حياته ولا موته وفيه حالتان:
الأولى : أن يكون للزوج مال ينفق منه على زوجته ، أو يقوم وليه بالإنفاق عليها
من مال نفسه.
الثانية : أن لا يكون للزوج مال ينفق منه على زوجته، ولا ينفق عليهـا ولـيـه مـن مــال
