Article 277 of Personal Status Law

A- If a periodic payment is bequeathed to an entity of a permanent character by an unrestricted or perpetual testamentary disposition, such of the testator's property as yields income sufficient to ensure execution of the testamentary disposition shall be allocated. No more than one-third shall be allocated except with the heirs' authorization. B- If the property allocated to the testamentary disposition yields more than the bequeathed periodic payment, the beneficiary entity shall be entitled to it. If the yield falls below the periodic payment, that entity shall have no recourse against the testator's heirs.
