Article 278 of Personal Status Law

a- In the circumstances set out in Articles 273 to 276, the testator's heirs may take possession of, or dispose of, what has been allocated to implement the bequest of periodic payments, provided that they deposit all the periodic payments in cash with an entity acceptable to the legatee or designated by the judge, and the deposited amount shall be allocated to implementing the bequest. b- If the legatee dies before the deposited amount is exhausted, the remainder shall be returned to the testator's heirs. c- Every right of the legatee in the estate shall cease upon the deposit and allocation.
