Article 24 of Weapons and Ammunition Law

Anyone who violates the provision of Article (16, 1/19) of this Law or obtains a licence on the basis of fraud, false statements or incorrect documents shall be punished by imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven years and a fine not exceeding seven thousand dinars, or by either of these two penalties, without prejudice to any more severe penalty stipulated in any other law. Closure of the premises or factory and confiscation of the weapons and ammunition that are the subject of the offence and the materials, tools and machinery used therein shall be ordered. Article 24 bis (2) Without prejudice to any more severe penalty stipulated in another law, anyone who imports, displays, sells or markets bladed weapons or dangerous air weapons without obtaining a licence shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of not less than one year and not more than two years and a fine of not less than one thousand dinars and not more than three thousand dinars, or by either of these two penalties. The penalty shall be doubled in the event of recidivism. The penalty shall be a fine of not less than three thousand dinars and not more than five thousand dinars if those acts are committed by a private legal person. The penalty shall be doubled in the event of recidivism. Temporary closure for a period not exceeding three months, or suspension of the activity or licence for a similar period, may be ordered. Withdrawal of the licence shall be ordered if the act is repeated. In all cases, confiscation of the bladed weapons or dangerous air weapons that are the subject of the offence shall be ordered.
