Article 7 of Bankruptcy Law

A department called the Bankruptcy Department shall be established at the Court of First Instance, headed by a judge of a rank not lower than counsellor and comprising a sufficient number of deputy presidents and judges of the Court, called Bankruptcy Judges, selected by the General Assembly of the Court at the beginning of each judicial year. The Bankruptcy Judge shall have jurisdiction to consider applications to open proceedings submitted to him and related applications, provided that this does not fall within the jurisdiction of the Bankruptcy Court or any other body pursuant to the provisions of this Law. The Bankruptcy Judge shall issue his decisions stipulated in this Law without adversarial proceedings.
