Article 2 of Tenancy Law

The Government may, by a decision of the competent Minister or the head of the authority concerned, administratively evacuate immovable properties in the following cases: a - Properties expropriated for public benefit, whoever their occupant may be. b - Properties owned by it upon which it is decided to establish a public-benefit project. c - Public assets and private State property, including agricultural lands, occupied pursuant to licences or contracts containing essential conditions unusual in ordinary leases, where the conditions of the licence or contract are breached or for reasons of public interest. Evacuation shall take place within a period specified by the decision, not exceeding one year from the date of notice. d - Properties allocated by the Government to others while retaining ownership for a specified period, if the allottee breaches the conditions of the licence or a public interest calls for evacuation, during the period in which the Government retains ownership of the property. In the event of a breach of the licence conditions through subletting, the Government may confine itself to evicting the subtenant. Article (1) 3 (Repealed)
