English translation
The Municipality shall have a legal department reporting to the Minister, which shall handle all cases, appear on its behalf before all courts and arbitral tribunals, give legal opinions and conduct investigations. It shall also prepare drafts, decrees, regulations, rules and decisions connected with the Municipality's activities, subject to the provision of Article Two of Amiri Decree No. (12) of 1960 promulgating the Law Regulating the Department of Legal Advice and Legislation.

يكون للبلدية إدارة قانونية تتبع الوزير، تتولى مباشرة جميع القضايا والحضور
عنها أمام جميع المحاكم وهيئات التحكيم وإبداء الرأي القانوني وإجراء
التحقيقات، كما تتولى إعداد المشروعات والمراسيم واللوائح والأنظمة والقرارات
المتصلة بنشاط البلدية وذلك مع مراعاة حكم المادة الثانية من المرسوم الأميري
