English translation
If the subject matter of a commercial obligation is a sum of money and its amount is known at the time the Index of the Law 1267 Home Page Commercial Law Decree-Law No. 68 of 1980 Promulgating the Commercial Law obligation arises, and the debtor delays payment thereof, he shall be obliged to pay the creditor statutory interest of seven per cent as compensation for the delay.

إذا كان محل الالتزام التجاري مبلغا من النقود وكان معلوم المقدار وقت نشوء
الالتزام وتأخر المدين في الوفاء به ، كان ملزما ان يدفع للدائن على سبيل التعويض
